The US Lacrosse number is very important and necessary to register your player. This is a yearly US Lacrosse membership which provides secondary insurance for players, teams, and leagues to eliminate potential worries associated with lacrosse participation. All lacrosse players need one in order to play with 405 LAX, and it is also required for any other lacrosse opportunities you would be looking to explore. You can find the registration page here: https://account.usalacrosse.com/login/
Thankfully as 405 LAX has grown, we are able to start dividing up into different teams to enhance player and families lacrosse experience. We know that we have a lot of players coming from all around OKC area and our goal as a program is to make sure that parents and players can stay as local as possible. If you would be interested in coaching or starting a team, please reach out to coach.newman@405lax.com!
Teams are separated by what region of the city your child's school district is in, our goal is to keep children who attend the same school playing together to further the sense of community. a general guideline of which districts play for which team is below. *Some players may be assigned to cross district borders to ensure each team has an adequately sized roster.

Practice locations will be up to each team's coach/communication lead to determine the best fit for their roster makeup to ensure practices won't be too far from players' schools. The league will provide assistance and guidance locating practice locations with some spots already secured across the city such as cheyenne middle school. Each program will host 2 game weekends for their teams of all ages.
We utilize volunteer coaches to lead each team. As we are experiencing rapid growth of the sport in our area, we need more volunteers to provide a quality experience for each child. Coaches will undergo a background check and training from US Lacrosse to ensure players enjoy the sport in an environment that encourages both high challenge and high support. Coaches will also have the opportunity to attend Coaches Clinics hosted by 405's high school coaching staff to educate them on proper technique, rules of the game, and game strategy.
405 Lacrosse utilizes the TeamSnap app as our communication platform. Once players have registered and initial rosters have been finalized, parents will receive an email to accept their invitation to join their team in the team snap app. From there, each team will have a communication lead that is responsible for posting updates such as practice times, locations, and weather updates. The Team Communication lead will also be responsible for communication between the team and the league should any questions or issues arise.
Each team will need at least 1 coach and a communication lead, if you wish to help out simply check the box on the registration form for that position and we will reach out with more details. Volunteers will receive a discounted registration for their child, team supplies, and Swag gifts for their time and efforts.
